Advantages:
1) Managerial control is easy since it is a unidirectional flow.
2) Setting up deadlines and completing the work is easy
3) It is used for machine critical and life critical applications.
Disadvantages:
1) we cannot go back and change the decision. we need to complete the one task and need to go for next.
2) If business analyst does any change or if anything is done wrong initially, then whole project to be done separately.
3) Because of wrong set of requirements collected by analyst, there is a chance of changing the code, there will be chance of repentance of earlier code can create lot of defects in the later stage of code.
4) Testing is done just for phase and its not done in each and every stage of SDLC.
