- Go through the requirement specification and prepare the test strategy and plan.
- Participate in the Development Sprints to extract the information on product changes and go through the documents and help prepare the teststrategy/plan.
- Analyst will research on domain/functional topics to understand the changes
- Define new test cases and/or modifying existing ones to get it automated.
- Assess the impact of changes on existing tests. Good in capital markets domain.
- Communicate the product changes educate the automation team members.
- Manually test the application to validate all the functionality is working as per expected
- Report the functional defects in the defect reporting system and validate the fixes when they are available.
- Analyst will work with automation teams to help them analyze the test execution results.
- Analyst will work on creation of SQL scripts to provide intelligent check points for automated regression scripts.
- Analyst will guide team to help in regression result analysis and making more and more tests analysis friendly.
- Analyst will work on improving the functional and non-functional test coverage by analyzing the gaps and creating test cases.
- Analyst will review all the defect reported by the customers
- Do a root cause analysis for the defects
- Improve the test case coverage by adding the tests to catch them in the regression
