Job Description:
- Understand the testing requirement so as accurately estimate the team effort that is required for testing. Forecast resource requirement and efforts for forthcoming projects
- Plan and perform work allocation to resources based on capability and availability so as to maintain optimal resource utilization.
- Track and monitor work so as to ensure delivery of team output in line with schedule and quality norms. Provide appropriate status reports to the management on a periodic basis.
- Interface with onsite and offshore stakeholders to understand requirements and scope. Also interfaces with other teams in the course of the project for clarifications and, issue resolution to ensure that deliverables are on time.
- Guide and monitor team members. This includes motivating the team to enhance productivity, providing input for performance reviews and identifying and providing for appropriate training and coaching.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the functionality so as to prepare test strategy, test plans and test cases for complex and critical business requirements.
- Independently execute different types of tests to supplement efforts of other team members in complex or critical projects, whenever required.
- Perform peer review of the test cases, test scenarios and requirements traceability documents in a way that identifies gaps/errors to the maximum extent possible
- Perform root cause analysis of controllable defects and suggest/implement preventive and corrective measures to address the same.
