Job Description:
- Performs installations and runs quality engineering programs to test, identify, reproduce, and report defects.
- Participate in new product development teams and offering insight into quality engineering issues.
- Understand storage related products and complex interconnected systems.
- Must have hands-on experience on designing and creating system level test plans with customer focus in mind.
- Effectively communicate development and testing activities and findings in oral and written formats
- Collaborate well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily share information.
- Participate effectively in estimation, planning and quality risk analysis.
- Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents
- Knowledge of storage and storage related technologies including SAN and storage management, IP networks, etc.
- Strong experience with multiple common computer platforms (AIX, HP/UX, Linux, Solaris, Windows, VMWare).
- Good hands-on experience in Volume Managers (LVM/VxVM), Clusters (MSCS, VCS, Oracle RAC).
- Ability to write automation test scripts using any of the scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Expect, TCL/TK etc. is highly desirable.
- Exposure to Storage hardware (Symmetrix, CLARiiON), SAN Switches (Cisco, Brocade).
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
- Ability to work across functions and geographies to achieve results.
