- Knowledge of Manual testing concepts.
- Extensive experience in writing test plan, test cases and preparing test logs and test reports
- Must have strong knowledge on documentation required for testing
- Experience in defect tracking and closure
- Should have idea in Root cause analysis for defects
- Should have been part of Requirements gathering and test strategy formation
- Extensive experience in Web Application, GUI Functional, Regression, Retesting, Sanity, Smoke, System, Integration Testing for various applications.
- Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Must demonstrate an understanding of IP networking, protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS, firewalls, routers, etc. for Security Testing
- Quality Management - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness to improve and promote quality
Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness - Should have in depth knowledge in Agile Testing concepts.
- Well conversant with multi-browser, multi-lingual, multi-platform and multi-device testing
- Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed; i.e., perform manual static testing.
- Participate in the Change Control Board to identify the quality implications of known bugs and the impact of proposed changes to product definition on the testing process.
- Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used.
- An understanding on the Business Continuity Plan and the approach involved
- An understanding on the data backup process and any tests on data backup as well
- Knowledge on Life sciences domain would be an added advantage.
