- Proficiency with installing and configuring Windows/ Solaris/ AIX Operating Systems
- Proficiency with testing procedures
- Proficiency at manual software testing
- Proficiency with fault analysis and raising bug records
- Proficiency with writing test cases
- Proficiency at scripting (PERL / Java script / bash shell / batch files)
- Proficiency with installing and configuring Windows applications, in particular MS SQL Server or Microsoft Share Point
- Proficiency with using VMWare systems
- Good knowledge of backup / data protection procedure
