Capgemini Acquired iGate!!

In one of the biggest acquisitions, French IT company Capgemini is all set to acquire iGate for 4 billion dollars. iGate is a leading IT Services company with more than 30,000 employees and $1.2 billion revenues. With this acquisition, Capgemini is looking to give a tough competition to other IT Giants like IBM, Accenture and Convergys. 

This new combination will make Capgemini a true leader in IT services, consulting and outsourcing business with an estimated combined human resources of over 1,90,000, revenues of $12.5 billion and a combined operating margin of over 10%. Capgemini's CEO Paul Hermelin was happy to welcome the new talents and leaders to their group and is looking forward to share their convictions and professional culture.

iGate is already a leading service provider in financial sector and with this acquisition, all the existing banking & insurance clients of iGate will be adding to those of Capgemini. Capgemini is trying to concentrate more on North American market by offering more intellectual-property based solutions and platform based services with the help of iGate. The company sees North America as the most innovative and fast growing market and is expecting around 30% combined group revenue from the same region in 2015. By acquiring iGate, Capgemini wants to fill its existing gaps like: stronger US Enterprise clients, powerful presence in India and a deeper foothold in Financial sector!
